Job Vacancy: Editorial Production Assistant

Universal Magazines has been publishing since 1986 and is Australia's leading specialist publisher of niche market titles. Based in North Ryde, a full-time in-house position has become available in the Home DesignGroup for an editorial assistant to work on a range of titles in the department.

Reporting to the deputy editor, the position includes:

• Offering stellar customer service to our business partners to organize material for advertorial / advertising pages
• Manage clients and their bookings throughout layout and approval process
• Assisting the deputy editor and editor-in-chief and working with other editorial staff as required
• General administrative duties including filing and maintaining records
• Liaising with sales staff, clients and management
• Assisting with pagination
• Assisting with writing advertorials/news pages
• Inputting text corrections and tracking changes
• Tracking magazine through production and sending out client proofs
• Attending occasional industry and design events
• Assisting with online newsletters and social media

A genuine interest in kitchen and bathroom and home design would be an advantage. Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Email and Internet is essential. A knowledge of Indesign and Photoshop would be highly regarded, however not essential as training will be provided.
