COMP CLOSED: Win Thea Astley’s biography!

We’re getting all biographical this week, with two copies of Inventing Her Own Weather – Karen Lamb’s balanced account of the life of one of Australia’s beloved authors, Thea Astley – to be won.

Astley had a career that spanned half a century, and she was quite the pioneer of women’s writing – even being one of the first to teach creative writing in Australia. She wrote more than a dozen novels and collections of short stories, and won many literary awards, with this book's title referring to the trailblazing manner in which she worked.

We have two copies of this fascinating biography to be won. All you need to do is tell us your favourite female author and why. The two entries we like the best will each win a copy.
