It's great having experienced authors as tutors and audios you can listen to in the car over and over - like Audible. Makes it time efficient.

The tutor was really encouraging, professional and constructive. I trusted her. Her comments made sense and gave unexpected insight into things I hadn't considered.

Having feedback from the tutor was paramount. Having deadlines kept me motivated. Feedback from others was great - because many appeared quite experienced. Feedback guideline parameters made it kinder to read the comments.

I enjoyed reading so many wonderful stories. I'm not alone in my journey.

If you want to learn, improve or publish your work check out AWC. I've been in other critique groups before which turned me off writing, but since starting AWC courses, they've got high standards in giving constructive, considerate, useful feedback - never destructive or demoralising.

Since 2017 I've been doing AWC courses and they continue to provide gold star (Michelin) standard courses.

Wonderful pep talk for those of us who sometimes languish in a morass of being overwhelmed, muddled and amongst other self-defeating prophecies.

I will get back to my book sooner rather than later.

Don't hesitate, do it now!

The research that Kate has done is absolutely phenomenal.

I loved the presentation style, and the accompanying artwork just added an extra layer of richness to the course.

It has shown me that it is ok to devote my life to learning and that it will take time and practice to perfect my craft.

From the opening module of inspiration, I was absolutely hooked. The knowledge Kate presented was so varied and in depth, however, totally understandable.

The quality of courses run by AWC are consistently high, with the most up-to-date industry knowledge available. The participant is always left with the feeling that anything is achievable.

I desperately want to get my kids' books published and thought this would be great motivation, plus I'm a new teacher and thought it could give me some tips about being in front of big groups of kids.

I didn't expect the course to be so thorough! There was so much information, it was fabulous.

Nat Amoore is infectious so it was a pleasure listening to her and watching her.

The enthusiasm of Nat really sucked me right in, but her dedication and the detail she goes into with her work is truly inspiring. It really made me look at what I'm doing and realise I need to push myself way more!

Just a big thank you because I really think the information was invaluable, there was so much I learned.

DO IT!

Valerie has a lovely voice and stage presence. I found the course interesting and enjoyable. It also helped to hear firsthand experience from an experienced journalist.

I feel more confident in writing media releases and approaching the media. I'm beginning my career as a children's book author. I hope to use what I have learned in this course to gain media coverage once my career gains momentum.

I feel equipped with a proven strategy endorsed by an experienced journalist. This course covers every step from formatting the content of the media release to discovering an appropriate point of contact within the media.

There was so much packed into this little course. It was simple but also offered practical exercises and tools to help me develop my writing skills and daily writing practice. I've taken lots of notes and saved everything so I can come back to what I've learned whenever I need to refocus.

I think I've been struggling with giving myself permission to prioritise writing, and not just writing but thinking, researching random ideas, going down the rabbit hole for no other reason than I'm interested. This course has helped me step into my power and prioritise the things that don't matter to anyone else but me.

AWC courses are professionally presented, clear and engaging.

Absolutely inspiring, such a refreshing approach, so many wonderful pointers to enrich my journalling and writing, and has given me the impetus I needed to believe in my writing again - Thank you Kate!

Kate's sharing of her craft - the way I felt as though Kate was talking to me directly and cheering me on with my writing, and the gorgeous artwork she chose to send subliminal messages throughout. The 12 challenges - practical and wonderful for a lifetime of writing.

Renewed belief in my writing abilities.

If you want to learn about writing from masters of the craft, AWC is the place to do it.

This course really challenged me - in a good way.

Nat was very encouraging and constructive with her feedback, and quick to respond in the chat too. It was really helpful to be able to listen to her feedback to everyone in the group as well as the individualised feedback to me because we were all writing in such different ways but everything she was saying was applicable to everyone.

It broke down the craft into discrete sections and then took each of those separate building blocks and helped us put them back together again. I was so grateful to find the information about the questions you can ask yourself to help you move forward with your idea.

Practical, experiential, thoughtful courses with very encouraging tutors.

It's given me the plan I need to finish my novel(s). I'm excited to put this all into practice starting today. As someone who is great at executing but NEEDS a plan, this has unlocked my brain with how to move forward.

I loved the idea of working out the five major plot points and building around that. Even if it slightly changes, I know that having an internal idea of where I am writing towards will be MASSIVE for me to actually finish my stories.

I already recommend AWC to everyone. Every course I've done, I've gained so much value. I'll definitely be back for more just because I love it. I'm studying a Bachelor in Creative Writing and Publishing, and I love it! But there's also so much of the practical, how-to, information that is missed in higher education. So having these very practical courses supplement my degree has helped me get even more out of it.

It was like being taken gently but firmly on an adventurous journey.

It connected to what I know about the brain and helped me to understand how I can use this knowledge to develop a writer's life.

Do this course before anything else.

I found the course very engaging, and the personal feedback very helpful. Pamela Freeman was a good teacher, covering a lot of helpful information in a very understandable way, using examples when needed. I loved getting personal feedback on my creative process every week.

I'm motivated to keep working on my current story, and have realized that a novel I wrote previously needs a lot more work, possibly a complete rethinking, before it would be ready for sharing.

I would recommend it for anyone interested in writing fantasy within western structures, and needing help with worldbuilding or planning the story.

I work as a technical documentation writer and trainer and I also blog so I was looking to improve my skills and see if there is a market for what I write.

Alex was an excellent tutor. She provided excellent and constructive feedback as well as carrying out extra research to assist with the details of her feedback.

During the research and interview sections, I realised that I do this as a trainer and technical writer and that could be adapted.

If you write and are thinking about writing for money, check this course out; it provides techniques and background you'll need to start your writing journey.

This was the final piece I felt I needed to ensure I was clear on before I started submitting my manuscript to agents and publishers.

The AWC courses are professional, candid and practical, every time.

Loved the course. The detail was amazing and was presented so clearly.

Bernadette is a champion! Her experience speaks for itself.

I like how the online platform helps to build community in that you can like other people's comments, there are self-introductions at the beginning and you can see each other's assignments which is great for sharing ideas too.

Highly professional and easy-to-use online platform that makes learning fun and easy. The format of weekly assignments allows for progressive learning that builds on week to week. The experience of the tutor was amazing and provided real-world industry examples.

The course materials are very good. The tutor was professional and insightful. The comments really helped.

I have enjoyed the assignments and I felt that they have helped develop my writing skills.

Creative Writing Stage 1 is comprehensive and provided excellent resources and feedback on the assignments.

Bernadette was great - an easy, confident speaker. Kept the videos short and to the point. Like Mark, her feedback was very positive.

I enjoyed the assignments - putting what I had learned into action.

Enjoyed learning about some of the SEO tools that can be used to check out how well a website or webpage is ranking. It has taught me more about the factors that are at work with Google rankings, key words etc.

The AWC courses are jam-packed with useful, easy-to-digest information that provide a solid foundation to build a copywriting business. I thoroughly enjoyed Copywriting Essentials and SEO Copywriting. Worth the price.

For many years, I had a desire to write picture books but didn't commit to it. I have published a novel for adults, with another on the way, but wasn't sure I could transition to writing for children. I felt I needed education specifically in writing picture books.

Margaret was a great tutor. She provided detailed feedback in a way that made me feel excited to revise my work. She has a keen eye for story and the common pitfalls of writing for picture books.

I feel confident - this is something I believe I can do successfully.

I'm planning to do the full suite of 'Write Your Novel' courses with AWC over the next year or so, and this course seemed to be the right starting point.

I've enjoyed the weekly deadlines, and the bonus exercises were great. Victoria seems to be lovely and has given very insightful feedback via the weekly videos.

It solidified a lot of things I have been learning/researching myself over the past year. Great foundational course.

Helen Gowdie 8 months ago

The more I have learned through the suite of copywriting courses I have undertaken, the more I have realised how much more I need to learn about. SEO was a key aspect that, to be honest, I didn't even know about at all! So I put this course on my 'essentials' to do list.

I am an experienced writer but I knew I was naive about the google world and how and why it works - so yes I was concerned about how I would go with this course.

Very comprehensive - so much great information and clever practical strategies covered and generously shared.

Bernadette is a delightful and very knowledgeable tutor - she shares her experience and observations generously and her feedback combines insight, suggestions and encouragement.

I enjoy the natural approachable presentation of the course and that this is backed up with comprehensive resources that I can return to and double check as I grow my knowledge and practice.

I now look at my google searching and the content of results with an informed and critical eye - a fascinating additional view of what works and why. AND I analyse what I can take from it and how I could apply it (and be alert to the tension between persuasion and manipulation we all face every day!)

The AWC copywriting courses have cut out any waffle, mystification and distractions and deliver what you really need to know with practical resources and strategies to draw on, apply now and succeed 'your way'.

I loved Pamela's systematic approach to unpacking what each element is and how to use it as well as including the often overlooked but important grammatical aspects. It really highlighted to me where I was going wrong.

I have been stuck with my story - I have a story which I believe is good but have been really struggling with HOW to tell it. This course has inspired me to do more courses and focus on the craft - it has reignited my hope that I can progress.
