It was great to be a part of a group of people engaged in the same activities and see how everyone interpreted things differently.

Nat was great. She managed to provide constructive feedback in a way that made you feel that you could write.

Writers are not just naturally able to write, but you can learn the craft. I actually feel that it may be possible for me to write.

Go for it. You have nothing to lose and everything to learn.

Excellent content - went beyond what I expected and covered some very pertinent points.

The presentation was easy to follow. It was well signposted so I could always follow the topics.

The course has bolstered my desire to write and made it seem achievable.

I want to write a book but wanted some guidance on writing and improving my way of storytelling before starting.

I enjoyed the assignments. I appreciated Nat taking the time to provide feedback; each time it came out, I was overly excited to hear what she had to say. She didn't just rush through; she gave everyone a fair amount of attention.

I'm not a perfect writer, there's still so much more to learn. But I feel ready to start my book and know what to watch out for when editing.

This course was a good use of my time. I'd say that it gave me a boost of confidence and helped get me out of my little rut.

The information provided in the course is highly relevant, well-staged and paced.

I enjoyed listening to Michelle. She speaks clearly and has a lovely tone. Her genuine interest in helping other authors getting their website right shines through the course. I believe she covers as much as she can without getting too technical. Thank you, Michelle.

Embarking on something new to me does not seem too fearful anymore once I gain some knowledge.

I love the structure of the course. In addition, I was nicely surprised to receive the additional information (Module 6) on how to 'dive in' to the market.

Mark was great and worked on time. I love receiving feedback via video. It makes it more personable.

I enjoyed the strict deadline for assignments! It got me to do the work!

Before the course, I could write copy, but I was not following any particular copywriting formula. I'm now confident to know where to start, and how to avoid any copywriting pitfalls.

Great course. Thank you!

I am looking to write a manuscript for publication, and figured this was a good place to start (and I was right!)

Nat has a wonderful knack for giving just the right advice. She was always encouraging and curious, and didn't overwhelm students with stacks of feedback or constructive criticism. She also focused on the positives, so we felt inspired to continue our writing practice. I always looked forward to Mondays, knowing I'd get to listen to her read my story out loud and share some real gems I can put into action right away. Having to 'publicly' share my creative writing for the first time and reading the work of other students was also very rewarding. We all learned a lot from each other's feedback and discovered the Furious Fiction challenge together, which I've completed every time since starting two months ago and will continue to do so.

The excellent, thoughtful, finetuned course that was exactly what I needed to hear at this time. And then having great assignments to put those ideas right to practice, finished off by excellent tailored feedback. I absolutely loved it.

Bernadette is such a fabulous tutor. Easy to listen to, great wit - her availability to respond to questions and her insightful critiquing and positive feedback style make absorbing the knowledge in her courses such an honour and delight.

I enjoyed the overall positive vibe given to equip students to learn, harness the knowledge and take action to create.

Not only is it a fundamentally sophisticated course for copywriting, its principles are radically transformative to apply to any business concept / execution.

There is no better place to get satisfaction from acquiring worthwhile skills in your area of interest, via engaging, motivational tutorials, safety-net support, invitations to further opportunities and join inclusive on-line communities.

It has made me think more deeply about some of the small details I take for granted because it is in my head. I loved the way Nat pointed out tiny details that may have the reader question a scene. Her comments were really useful.

I liked learning about how to get inside a character. I had made a vision board but I hadn't gone into the full background of my character in order to know her inside out. I will have to repeat this with my minor characters as well.

Doing this course is a good way to dip your toes into the creative writing stream. It will give you the confidence to take the first steps but it is up to you as to how deep you are willing to go.

Louisa was an engaging presenter and made sure to answer questions. I enjoyed learning about the genre and its features as I have had limited exposure to it.

I enjoyed learning about the conventions of the inciting incident, turning points and climax as they relate to crime and thriller writing. I was able to come up with a new and improved plot for my story.

Go for it; it's just so useful and demystifies writing.

I was interested in learning more about SEO, how it works, and how the art of good copywriting fits into this for my marketing and writing business.

Bernadette is a fantastic teacher and presenter, and I loved her curious nature and her friendly approach to the training. She made it a pleasure to dive in and do the course each week and was very engaging.

I thought the course was well structured, with the basics being established at the start. I also enjoyed the external references and videos Bernadette included - I thought they were highly relevant.

It has enabled me to understand what to focus the most on when it comes to SEO and copywriting (and sort through some of the myths that I had in my head after years of googling answers to my questions).

I thought the content around how to plan blog/ content topics using keyword research was really interesting and that has already really helped me with what I offer clients through my business.

I would recommend this course to anyone who wants a more thorough understanding of SEO and how good copywriting can build brands through SEO.

I wanted to do this course because I really just wanted to finish my book! I'd been plodding away, self-editing for so long that it was time to throw everything at it and get it off the ground. I'd just finished the Novel Writing Essentials course and thoroughly enjoyed the feedback and deadlines to keep me on track. After that, I decided to take the leap of faith and write my novel.

Cathie has been fantastic. I couldn't even imagine how much I would learn from her guidance. I loved the way she gave specific feedback, usually with little graphics and book recommendations. A wonderful teacher.

Our little group of writers is such a lovely bunch of people! Everyone has been so kind and supportive, while also being constructive in their feedback. I've enjoyed reading others' novels too. I am so grateful for Cathie's feedback and guidance and looked forward to reading her notes and comments on every submission.

Thank you for providing such a wonderful resource for people who want to enjoy writing as a hobby or a possible career.

I loved reading everyone's work and getting feedback. My writing buddies were very encouraging and kind. My online tutor gave helpful feedback, and she was encouraging.

Before, publishing my story was just a vague dream, although I have written many words. This course gave me the tools to edit and improve my writing.

I liked the bite-sized lectures. It was a good way to focus on a single idea/approach. The templates were particularly useful.

There are patterns in everything, and any structure you use has been used before. I now have the confidence to approach just about any piece of content because I have many structures to fall back on.

All of AWC's courses are full of practical information that can be applied in the real world. The courses are well written and presented, with lots of handouts.

I looked forward to reading everyone's submissions and found the lessons really helpful when trying to get my head around plot and story lines. Nat provided insightful feedback on the work submitted.

A good structured approach. It has made me feel that I can write that book that we all have inside us.

I work in business development. I was attracted to the course as I needed to gain skills and confidence to pursue career options.

I enjoyed the narrator and the entertainment videos between modules. The guides and handouts are great. I feel more confident as I now know style guides exist.

The course was concise, enjoyable and informative. I highly recommend the course and it has proven to be excellent value for money.

Jo was great! Engaging with a wealth of knowledge to share.

I enjoyed the workshop environment. Meeting like-minded people. Anticipation of sharing and learning - it met up to expectations.

I can highly recommend AWC after twelve months of great courses ... But beware: it's addictive in a great way.

I was attracted to the course to brush up on my skills for digital grammar and readability, along with the need for me to translate USA wording to an AU audience.

I appreciated Grant's willingness to share and work with us when we asked examples and wanted to know: yes or no, wrong or right.

This course will not only help me in my day-to-day work, but also in my everyday life. It's a great course to assist with learning the basics of grammar and writing or reminding us of these.

The instructor made the course pretty engaging. He was seasoned and had in-depth knowledge of the content. He was enthusiastic about questions being asked and made sessions interactive as much as possible.

I have learnt many tips to improve my daily writing skills. It has been only a day, and I am structuring my daily emails in much better format.

Irrespective of English being first or second language, as is the case for me, the insights and learnings are amazing.

I had previously completed the picture books course and I was keen to expand my knowledge in this area.

The Masterclass was easy to listen to. The modules were well set out and there was practical information and advice.

It delved deeper into picture books and explained more about not only writing the actual book but also what is needed to actually send off to publishers, and being aware of how social media impacts how you market yourself and your books.

The Australian Writers' Centre offers practical and informative courses to help you with your writing. No matter what course you do you will find something that will get you inspired and excited about writing.
